Human beings are always evolving, constantly in a state of flux in tandem with the world around them. Nevertheless, there are some things that remain the same – the most inert parts of our personalities, belief systems and habits. Maybe it’s because of genetics, maybe because we were conditioned to be a particular way and continue to be conditioned as we grow older.
But that’s it, isn’t it? That’s the beauty of being human – being so transient, yet so grounded.
I think it’s wonderful.
And I think that it’s wonderful that I will not be the same person tomorrow, as I am today. I’ll be just slightly different. I love that. I look forward to it.
Because I want to change, as much as I possibly can during my lifetime. I want to keep changing and growing until I reach my ideal, and then shifting my ideal so I can do it all over again.
I love the idea of being in a constant flux, never to be the same. It scares the absolute life out of me. But I love it.
