Passive Income

I’ve been considering the option of making some passive income while I’m a student for a few weeks now. I realize that it’s probably not going to be an enormous amount, but that’s alright because this is the first step to the financial freedom I crave so much.

This past year, I’ve really begun to understand the true value of money. I don’t mean that in the sense that one needs money to be unconditionally and irrevocably happy (which I don’t believe is a thing, anyway), but instead, I see that a lot of the things I have planned for myself require a certain amount of money. My postgraduate university, my hobbies (like reading and watching theater), travelling and trying out different food.

Sure, I’m hoping to bag a full scholarship for university if possible and yes, reading doesn’t require money if you read smartly. But I’d like to know that I have the ability to spend for myself. Like I said before, this is an opportunity to realize that dream of financial freedom.

I took the first initiative to start last night and honestly, I loved the way it felt. I feel one step closer to my ideal self and my ideal life and I know that the two are bound to evolve over time, but for now, I feel content with this.

I’m a little excited. I don’t know what to expect, but that’s okay. This is just a way to learn. So, I’ll be a little excited.
