I think for me an important part of growing up has been realizing that people won’t ever see things my way.
There will always be a lapse in understanding: I probably will never understand their standpoint about a certain issue and vice versa.
That’s big for me.
Because that means that there is no absolute ‘right’, there is no 100% correct answer which will have consensus.
There can be two rights. There can be three. Hell, there could be a thousand.
What is ‘right’, I’m learning, depends on the people, the situation, the outcomes and the intentions. Something that I feel is right as of today, is probably not something I thought was right yesterday or possibly even tomorrow.
There is more than one right.
And I have to respect that while I may be right in my own regard, the person in front of me is too.
